Adventure Unlimited is a small business based in the Peak District. We have been running Mountain Leader and Single Pitch Award (now Rock Climbing Instructor) courses since 2001.

We aim to provide enjoyable, high quality and professionally delivered training and assessment courses. Course Directors are Ian Loombe. Jules Barrett and Phil Baker who are all full members of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors with extensive mountaineering experience in the UK and abroad.

Ian Loombe has climbed extensively throughout Europe, Australia, Thailand, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the Alps and the Pyrenees. He has also spent 6 months cross country skiing in the Arctic Circle. Ian has been a professional mountaineering instructor for over fifteen years, and is a member of the Association of Mountaineering Instructors.

Jules Barrett has over ten years experience working as a mountaineering instructor and has focused on mountain training for individuals, LEA centres, universities and the delivery of national governing body training and assessment courses. He holds the Cave Instructor Certificate and installs anchors on behalf of the British Caving Assocation. Jules is also a keen fell runner and has completed the big three UK fell-running 24 hour rounds.

Phil Baker has climbed and caved for 34 years all over the UK and Europe, and has been involved in instructing for over 25 years. He has climbed around the world, including big walls in America, Denali in Alaska and new ice climbs in Norway. Phil has descended Krubera Cave in Abkahzia (currently the deepest cave in the world at -2196m) and he is a trainer/assessor for the Cave Instructor Award.
